(Florence, Ky.) - Something strange is going on in the office of Dr. Gary Shearer in Florence, but investigators are keeping silent.
FBI and DEA agents swarmed the facility and came away with several boxes of medical records during a raid at the Florence Medical Building on Turfway Road Tuesday. The agents had a search warrant from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Neither the FBI nor Florence Police would release further information regarding the reasons for the raid.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported patients were told that staff would be back in the office Wednesday.
Shearer, of Union, is co-owner of NKY Med LLC which is attempting to build a methadone clinic in Covington.
