Mitch Daniels
(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is adding another endorsement to his growing list.
Now, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is throwing his support behind the former Massachusetts governor.
“He’s already won our nomination. He earned it. He’s proven himself the best nominee we can put forward. I’m ready to sign on and help him,” Daniels told Fox News on Wednesday morning.
Daniels says Romney will do well balancing the budget and reforming taxes.
Romney is expected to secure the GOP presidential nomination after the recent exit of former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum.
Santorum was Romney's chief rival, but lagged far behind Romney in money and delegates.
Daniels, who declined to run for president, has been rumored as a possibility for a vice presidential candidate. Romney’s campaign began its search for a running mate this week.
