Jerrod Niemann
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – One of country music’s rising stars comes to Lawrenceburg this weekend.
Jerrod Niemann performs at Lawrenceburg High School’s auditorium on Sunday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. Fellow country artist Tyler Farr will be the opening act.
The concert is being promoted by the Dearborn Highlands Arts Council.
“I hope everybody comes to hang out,” Niemann told Eagle 99.3. “I know Tyler is a fantastic talent and hilarious. We always end up getting together and jamming at the end.”
Niemann has been touring heavily since his first number one hit “Lover, Lover” was released off the album Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury in 2010. He’s currently opening for Miranda Lambert.
“It’s been a great tour and Miranda is just salt of the earth,” Niemann said.

Niemann will play some songs off his forthcoming album, Brassoline, including his newest single released to radio “Shinin’ On Me.”
The new album features a modest mix of an instrument not often heard in country music.
“Our band plays on it and so that way we started adding different textures that have peaked their heads out in country music. In this case we decided to add horns to this album. If you listen to ‘Shinin’ On Me’ you can sort of hear them in the background. They’re not meant to be the centerpiece of the album, but hopefully compliment what we’re attempting to do,” he said.
The Dearborn Highlands Arts Council says tickets to Sunday’s concert are still available. Cost is $25 per ticket. Call toll-free (866) 818-2787. More information can be found at the organization website, www.All4Art.org.
