(Boone County, Ky.) - Expect to see orange barrels appear on Interstate 75 in Boone County this weekend.
As part of its Revive the Drive construction project, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will resurface I-75 between the Richwood and Donaldson Road exits.
The project starts Sunday and is expected to go through September 1. Crews will work seven days a week.
There will be overnight lane closures from 8:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m.
The speed limit will be posted at 55 MPH, both daytime and nighttime, for the duration of the project, and will be enforced. Double fines will be imposed for ticketed violations when workers are present.
On Thursday, bridge painting began in the left lane of Interstate 275 westbound between the 83 and 84 mile markers. The lane will be closed until further notice, the cabinet said.
